- Hi there! How’re you doing?
잘 지내시죠? (안녕하세요?)
- Hey! Mr. Brown how’s thing?
어떻게 지내세요? (안녕하세요?)

<축약>
- “How’re you doing?”often pronounced how’re ya doing
주로 ‘ya’ 발음된다.
-“How’s things” same as how is everything. Meaning all the things and situations in your life.
How is everything과 같은 말로 주위의 모든 환경과 상황들을 의미한다.
- “What’s up with you?” often just ‘What's up?’ meaning what are you up to? Or What are you doing with yourself these days?
주로 ‘What's up’이라고 줄여 사용되며 “요새 뭐하고 지내니? 어떻게 지내니?” 라는 의미이다
<억양어조>
- “Hi there!” should have volume and feeling that you are happy to see thisperson.
강하게, 상대방을 만나 반갑다는 감정이 전달되게 말해야 함.
- The same with “Hey” make it a long sound.
길게 늘여 발음.

나쁘지 않지만 관절이 조금 아파요.

- Nothing much! Just the usual.
특별한 건 없고 평소와 같아요.
<사용된 표현>
-“not bad” means you condition is OK but not very good.
괜찮지만 아주 좋지는 않은. 나쁘지는 않은 감정.
-“nothing much” means you are not doing anything extraordinary, just the usual day.
특별한 일은 없고 평소와 같은 날이라는 의미.
-“not too good” could be for emotional or physical feeling below or worse than “not bad”
감정적 혹은 신체적 컨디션이 좋지 않은, “나쁘지 않다” 조금 더 심각한 의미.
Lesson 4 첫 만남
- May I help you with something? 제가 무엇을 도와드릴까요?
- How may I help you? 어떻게 도와드릴까요?
- What can I help you? 무엇이 필요하신가요?
<요점과 설명>
Often a visitor to your pharmacy may enter and start looking around for something-browsing. You can then go up to him and offer some help.
주로 손님들은 약국에 들어와 주위를 둘러보며 무엇인가를 찾기 시작한다. 그때 손님에게 다가가 도움을 제공한다.
<억양어조>
- Remember with questions at the end of the sentence don’t drop your voice.
질문 할 때, 문장 끝의 음을 떨어뜨리지 않도록 주의한다.

무엇을 도와드릴까요?
- Yes please! I’d like to obtain a cough syrup.
네, 기침약을 찾고있는데요.

무엇이 필요하신가요?
- It’s ok for now. I’m just looking around.
괜찮습니다. 그냥 둘러보는 겁니다.
<사용된 표현-의미>
- “I’d like to obtain..” – same as I’d like to buy, or even get hold of. 사고싶은 혹은 얻고 싶다는 의미.
- “purchase” buy 구매하다, 사다.
- “Ok for now..”- I’m fine. 괜찮습니다.
- “Looking around.” Just browsing the shelf. 둘러보다. 구경하다.
